In partnership with Riot Games, we created a Coca-Cola flavor called Ultimate that takes from the epic world of League of Legends Wild Rift. Its campaign centers around bringing fans into one of the most iconic video games in history, making this the first Coke to let you be the hero of League.
COCA-COLA ULTIMATE
Our experiential film allowed players to feel like the champion they are. By uploading just one picture of yourself into the Ultimate You experience, you were transported from the real world into a League-inspired cinematic. Here you can see, with me!
Fans were also invited to take on our in-game missions that would unlock rewards like emotes.
They could even use our Instagram lens to see what they themselves would look like as a League emote.
Inspired by the building blocks of gaming, we spawned a pixel-flavored product for Coca-Cola called Byte. As the first soda born in the metaverse, it was launched in a Fortnite island created with Team PWR. 6,000+ people waited in a digital line to get their hands on the Coke before it sold out in just a few days—but don’t worry, it’s being resold for over $40 a can on eBay!
COCA-COLA BYTE
Players could go around collecting pixels and hidden Byte cans to level up their gameplay on the Pixel Point island.
In a Twitch livestream hosted by top pro gamer Loserfruit, members of Team PWR like Lachlan teamed up with Walking Dead star and gamer, Chandler Riggs, to play the island’s nostalgia-inspired mini games together.
When scanned with a phone, the physical Coca-Cola Byte can would turn into a playable AR mini game for consumers to enjoy.
The mini game followed a left-behind pixel trying to make his way back to the metaverse. Internally, we called him Jeff for some reason.
